Overview

Reaching Home is a program of Housing Infrastructure & Communities Canada (HICC) which distributes funding to local Community Entities across the country, which further allocate funds to local community projects to reduce the amount of people experiencing chronic homelessness in Canada.

The MNFC is the Indigenous Community Entity of Nova Scotia and works closely with the Indigenous Community Advisory Board of Nova Scotia to assess the housing needs of the urban Indigenous community, determine funding priorities, and allocate contributions to local projects that aim to address chronic urban Indigenous homelessness.
